Turkish army deployed to Kosovo to ease tensions.

Having good relations with both nations, Turkish presence is to prove useful for NATO and Europe's stability.

NATO boosts troops in northern Kosovo amid rising unrest, over 30 soldiers injured during recent violence. Ethnic tensions have flared after Albanian mayors appointed in Serb-majority areas. NATO-led peacekeeping mission KFOR now has 4,200 troops, with reinforcements from the Turkish Army's 65th Mechanised Infantry Brigade Command arriving recently. KFOR's mission is to maintain security, freedom of movement, and support stability in Kosovo, cooperating with UN, EU, and other international actors. The force focuses on developing professional, democratic, and multi-ethnic security structures.
