A Tree for Gallipoli

An initiative by the Australian-Turkish community in Melbourne, A Tree for Gallipoli Move the House platform is planting 50 trees to mark the 107th anniversary of the ill-fated allied landings of WWI.

The organisation's page states the purpose of the event is "commemorate the Gallipoli spirit by making the world greener."

The project previously in 2015 did a similar activity and planted dozens of trees, each one of them on behalf of a fallen soldier from either side of the conflict.
